Northeastern's Signature Experiential Learning
Northeastern’s Online MBA program is centered on two semester-long EXPO courses – one a real-world business challenge and the other a pressing issue at the intersection of business and society. EXPO develops skills and mindsets for success analyzing and acting on both kinds of challenges. EXPO focuses on challenges that will both sharpen skills for immediate impact and also develop capabilities for effectiveness and leadership as the business world changes. Through EXPO, learners practice applying the knowledge and skills they develop in core courses and get real-time feedback from senior executives to sharpen their skills even further. EXPO electives are also available.

The Online MBA program is designed from top to bottom to enable you to translate what you learn into effectiveness and leadership on the job immediately, including an emphasis on indispensable human skills.

The program is 100% online, including your experiential (EXPO) courses. Courses are asynchronous with optional live faculty connect sessions.
Choose your pace
Built specifically for working professionals, you can complete the degree in as few as 18 months or adjust the schedule to meet your needs.
Courses are 7.5 weeks long to allow you to deep dive into each topic. Stack courses or take them one at a time – you get to choose your own pace.
Focus areas
The 50-credit hour curriculum is divided into two segments: 21 core credits and 29 elective credits which allows you to customize your degree to match your interests.
Through your elective coursework, you will complete two focus areas in business analytics, finance, and/or innovation and entrepreneurship.
Societal challenges
You’ll take societal challenges courses that highlight how business concerns and societal challenges of our times are intertwined.
In these courses, you’ll delve into stakeholder values such as diversity and equity, social justice, sustainability, and other issues impacting our society.
