Is the Online MS in Management an accredited program?
Yes, D’Amore-McKim School of Business is accredited by AACSB International. All faculty who teach in the Online MS in Management are D’Amore-McKim School of Business faculty and industry leaders from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. In collaboration with Instructional Design and Course Managers, Online coursework is developed, designed, and revised in collaboration with D’Amore-McKim faculty and staff.
What sorts of programs does sthe university use for coursework?
Canvas is the main learning platform. Faculty Connects and Office hours are through Zoom.
What is the Canada Scholarship Program?
The Canada Scholarship Program aims to support learners who are Canadian Citizens and/or Canadian Permanent Residents starting Fall 2024. This program is offered online through Northeastern University's Boston Campus and is not affiliated with Northeastern’s global campus system, including its locations in Toronto or Vancouver.

What are the admission requirements?
- Bachelor's degree and a 3.0 GPA from an accredited institution.
- Two years of professional experience.
- Two professional letters of recommendation.

I previously took graduate level coursework, will those credits transfer into the program?
Transfer credit requests are reviewed on a case by case basis after admission into the program.
Do I have to submit official transcripts to apply?
- Unofficial transcripts, showing all completed coursework, grades, and GPA are required to apply.
- Official transcripts are required prior to enrollment.
What are the English proficiency requirements?
International applicants must demonstrate verbal and written English proficiency. If you did not earn your undergraduate degree at an English-speaking institution, or you have not worked in an English-speaking environment for several years, you must provide the appropriate English proficiency scores (i.e., TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo or PTE Academic).
How do I check the status of my application?
Once you’ve applied, you can check the “Manage Your Application” section in your application for updates.
You will receive Accept/Deny letters upon an enrollment decision, generally within 7 days of a completed application.
How do I submit international transcripts?
Transcripts must be in English and on a 4.0 GPA scale, if not you must have an evaluation through a NACE member organization.

Can I work while being in the degree program?
Absolutely. The program is designed to provide the flexibility working professionals need.
What is the time commitment required? How flexible is the schedule?
- On average, 10-15 hours/per week depending on how many courses you have enrolled in.
- Complete your degree in 12-24 months.
- You have up to 7 years to finish the program.
How many courses do learners typically take at a time?
- Courses are 7.5 weeks and a traditional semester is broken into two terms.
- During a term, learners typically take 1-2 courses depending on their goal timeline for graduation.

Do the same faculty teach online and on-campus courses?

What does faculty interaction look like?
- Faculty Connect Sessions: occur once per week for each course. Connect with faculty and other learners in the course over Zoom for more in-depth exploration into the learning module that week.
- Faculty Office Hours: faculty provide open office hours each week as an opportunity to connect live over Zoom.
Are there projects that require you to work with other learners in the program to complete a course deliverable, or is most of the coursework individual?
Yes, some OMSM courses will require group work.
Are all courses available every term? Or is the sample curriculum schedule fairly set and course offerings generally follow that availability?
- The curriculum schedule follows a set availability. Refer to the curriculum maps on for a good idea of when courses are generally available. Each term offers multiple options, including core, elective, and expos courses.
Do online students have access to on-campus facilities?
You will have access to the same resources as on-campus students. Some resources will require a student ID.
Will online students get a student ID card?
The Husky Card is optional for online students. OMSM learners are eligible to have Northeastern Husky Cards mailed to them.
Will there be a graduation ceremony?
Yes, you will be able to participate in the Northeastern graduation ceremony in May.

Are there opportunities to network with fellow learners?
The program is heavily interactive, providing you with the ability to network with other learners through courses and experience-powered learning segments. In addition, you'll have opportunities to network in optional virtual and in-person events.
Are internships a part of the degree program?
Internships are not a part of this online program option.
